This was an ad hoc one off request which had come in from another team in order to support their deliverables. This is one of the most challenging and interesting automations which I have developed till date.

The input to be worked on was dynamic and had to be fetched from the OneNote application. Links to all the OneNote files were stored and fetched from an excel file which was updated regularly and provided by the respective team.

The process involved targeting the respective OneNote files using the given links. The data from the links were exported. The catch here was to check if there are any attachments embedded within the OneNote document. The attachments were varying in count from file to file and had to be zipped together before uploading them to BMC Remedy tool. The automation was the best use case for UiPath's Robotic Enterprise Framework (RE-Framework) where it's wide range of capabilities were put to good use. The process involved multiple retries and handling various kinds of errors.

The bot updated the excel file with status of the transaction and notified the stakeholders in case of errors. The automation was successfully executed in multiple systems simultaneously in order to make good use of the features of automation and finish the task well within the timeframe. My efforts were duly recognized and I was awarded with the star award for the success achieved in this process.
